Shashi Hotel

Built for Bleisure: Shashi Shines

Called an Urban Resort, the tech-forward Shashi Hotel is without a doubt one of the most business (and leisure) friendly hotels I have ever experienced.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to stay at this property prior to attending the Travel and Adventure show in nearby Santa Clara and, like so many others was absolutely wowed from check-in to check-out. Here’s why this hotel is a Bleisure Living best:

  • Integrated app experience: Let’s face it…hotel apps and wifi isn’t always reliable but Shashi gets it. You have the ability to skip the front desk, instantly connect to safe, fast wifi, book meeting rooms (including awesome pods) with one click. You can even change your room temperature or stream on tv with your own device
  • Flexible and fun meeting spaces: Think of the coolest co-working space you’ve ever been to. Now imagine it being in the lobby of your hotel. It was easy to co-work remotely from the boutique coffee shop,  Chromecast and the outdoor patio next to the shimmering pool and spa. For a more formal work setting, this hotel is equipped with small meeting pods and many different indoor and outdoor versatile meeting spaces — all of which have industry- leading technology. No being blinded by old-school projectors here.
  • Michelin chef dining: At the end of a workday, or after attending a conference the last thing I like doing is having to drive or Uber to get a quality meal. When I start my day, I also try to skip normal hotel breakfast buffets with mystery meats and powdered eggs. Fortunately at Shashi Hotel, every culinary desire is met with award-winning (and delicious) dining at Broma, their signature Spanish inspired restaurant and Carte Blanche coffee. For an after-dinner drink, I highly recommend The Emerald Hour. The hotel is within walking distance from Google, Intuit and Microsoft so you know you are socializing with great company. And coming soon: An all new French restaurant with Michelin Aspirations.
  • Small touches, big impact: As a self proclaimed service snob, I was so highly impressed by every thoughtful detail of Shashi Hotel including a signature calming scent in the hallways and lobby, unlimited waters, nightly turndown service with chocolates, a Peleton equipped fitness center, unlimited fresh fruit and even chilled towels. The timely, kind  responses from each staff member mean way less travel stress.

If your business travel plans call for the Bay Area, Hotel Shashi should for sure be on your list.

Even if you are just visiting for leisure, the Michelin level dining, complimentary bikes, sauna and steam room, and live music make this hotel a worthwhile destination on its own.
