Trying a Tribute: My Hotel Adeline Adventure

So often when traveling for work, I stick with my known brands…a basic Hilton Garden, Hyatt Place, or Courtyard for consistency.

But a recent Bonvoy promotion and comped stay from the lovely management team encouraged me to step way out of my comfort zone! On a Tuesday night work-based trip in Arizona, I tried Hotel Adeline part of the Tribute Portfolio collection, and honestly…now it will be hard to go back to the boring.

Here’s what I loved, learned and why I think all those mixing with business and leisure should seek out a unique yet reputable place to rest their head.

  • Business-Friendly Amenities Abound: Besides a great working desk in the room, the hotel had tons of fun, well-designed areas with gallery-quality artwork to get work done with fast wifi throughout. I loved so much access to fresh air in between my calls. Each room has a newly renovated bathroom and comfy lounge style seating in the room with great lighting options perfect for Zoom calls.
  • Better Vibes: The stay starts with a complimentary margarita…and the staff happily agreed to let me have mine after my Zoom calls ended at 5:00. The pool area at Hotel Adeline had a stunning atmosphere with a great bar with much better drink options than what I normally see and a much more relaxed atmosphere which was nearly therapeutic after a long day of work, and it was incredible not having to leave the hotel to have some fun. SO many pool chairs and such fast wifi with my toes in the water under pink umbrellas and palm trees (it was giving California vibes), and had upbeat music to boost my productivity throughout the day.  In addition to that, this particular hotel has bikes to rent (much more enjoyable for me than an old treadmill) and even a speakeasy! For those staying soon or anyone in the area… be sure to ask for the password at the front desk.
  • Bonvoy Benefits: The coolest part for me of this unique property was the consistency of my Marriott gold status and being able to text via the app the front desk in advance some questions about the pool. Not to mention complimentary bottled water in the room and valuable points to to use for future getaways.

So, my bleisure living enthusiasts…next time you are traveling for work and see a Tribute Portfolio as an option…I say, “Try it!” and enjoy an all new surrounding.
