The “Flight Plan” for 2024 is Here!

I (Nancy) am writing this from 30K+ feet above Earth, taking full advantage of in-air Wi-Fi.

It seems especially fitting for me to use this time on my first Bleisure Living journey of 2024 to share with our readers what’s in store for the new year!

First, I’m super grateful for Matt, our Editor-in-Chief.

We are excited to welcome a new writer to the team. I met Karla a lifetime ago in Yonkers (one of the stops on this 10-day trip) and we’ve followed each other’s career and life paths since then. She’ll be writing about fashion, tech, and various other lifestyle topics.

We’re always looking for great volunteer talent to add to the team. After all, who doesn’t want to fulfill their dream of being a travel writer?! Please e-mail us at mybleisureliving@gmail.com if you’re interested.

Also new for 2024:

  1. We’re finally launching our social media channels this month, so you’ll have even more places to visit in the digital world. We’ll also introduce an e-news flash this year. Please subscribe to make sure you receive it.
  2. Each month we’ll be profiling some of the fun and unique people who spend their lives in the air, at resorts, or counseling all of us on how and where to travel! Want to be featured? Just e-mail us at: mybleisureliving@gmail.com with the subject line Travel People
  3. Matt and I will be visiting the Winter Fancy Food Show in search of portable and healthy snacks (as well as brands founded by people >50 as guests for my podcast). I used some of my Amex Platinum points for a cool new travel tripod with a mic, so we can capture convos with the people we meet.
  4. We’re on the lookout for new and interesting products and places — fashion, gadgets, hotels, motels, resorts, destinations, spas, technologies, and other unique products and services that Bleisure Living people must know about. We love supporting small businesses too!

As some of you may know, we first launched this site in 2017 — long before workations, remote work, and van life were a “thing.”

The pandemic, some personal detours, and my “day job” created a little turbulence. But now, here we are, lucky seven years later with a new look, an enhanced mission, and all kinds of ideas in our metaphorical carry-ons!

We hope you’ll come along for the journey!
