Nothing is more disappointing to a Bleisure Living traveler than being in a beautiful, fun, new city full of attractions, only to be locked in a conference room or office all day and not being able to see anything.
Although after the workday might seem tiring, more and more companies are offering “late night” adventures as the perfect way to decompress and cross off your sightseeing bucket list. Even if you are in a city you repeat often, a nighttime adventure is a great way to get a new perspective and change up your plans.
For my sightsee after six experience, I was invited to try London by Night from Tootbus (I learned night bus tours exist across many big cities globally!)
I left the office around 6:30 pm and had plenty of time to relax before the 7:30 p.m. tour, which was a great solo activity with an audio guide that you could either listen to and learn from or unplug and simply enjoy the views and fresh air. As it states on their site, I was amazed at what I was able to see in just 90 minutes. Although London may be my new home, this was a great after-work activity for those who want to add some sightseeing to any business trip, without having to sacrifice PTO.
