Congratulations! You have someone in your life who is excited enough to see you they’ve chosen to visit and experience BleisureLiving with you. Now that you’ve got their flight info, let’s talk about ways you can be an A+ host and start the trip off with success.
- Track that Flight: I use flightaware as my go-to for determining the exact terminal, gate and arrival time and have had friends land even 40 minutes ahead of their scheduled time…don’t make them wait for you! I also love to send a “welcome” text as soon as you see they land…talk about thoughtful. And if your guests flight is delayed…show extra compassion…they’ve had an extra stressful day.
- Meet in the terminal: Pay the small fee and avoid the big hassle of trying to identify your person in a sea full of tired travelers at the pick-up lane and them trying to navigate a potentially new place and spot your car. My Bleisureliving tip…most airports have great, fast WiFi…use this time before your guest arrives to knock out any pending work tasks. When preparing your guest…give them clear instructions on where to meet you and be patient if they get lost or have questions.
- Rock the Welcome Basket: Follow the lead from 5 star hotels across the globe and consider packing waters, snacks, and for long flights…why not surprise and delight your guests with a refreshing Neutrogena face towel?
Follow these tips and your BleisureLiving hosting duties will be more than fulfilled and your guests will surely become repeat visitors. Have other tips for starting a trip off to success? Share them below!
